Globe  Languages Spoken: English, French, (Swahili)

Hi! My name is Nura and I am a first-year Cognitive Science student with a Concentration in Cognition and Psychology. Assuming you’ve never heard of that major (I definitely hadn’t), I’m interested in learning about how the machinery in our brain helps us to function the way we do. I speak mainly English and basic level French, with a Tanzanian background meaning I am able to understand the official language of Swahili.

My favourite thing about language is the cultural aspects that provide us with points of connection with people we otherwise don’t know! This passion for community led me to the LLRC where I will be creating H5P learning materials.

My hobbies include crocheting, reading, and finding opportunities to make people laugh. Seriously – people need to laugh more. Overall, I look forward to engaging in lively conversations about world domination…I mean school, and other fun stuff.
