Aaron Wherry
Senior Writer, CBC's Parliamentary Bureau
Aaron Wherry is a senior writer in the CBC’s parliamentary bureau and the author of Promise & Peril, an account of Justin Trudeau’s first four years in power.
He has lived in Ottawa and covered Parliament Hill since 2007, first for Maclean’s and since 2016 for the CBC. In addition to his writing, he is a frequent commentator on television and radio, including regular appearances on CBC’s At Issue panel, Rosemary Barton Live and Frontburner.
Before joining Maclean’s in 2006, Aaron worked at the National Post, writing about music and sports.
Originally from Windsor, Ont., Aaron has a BA in English literature from Western University, where he edited the best student newspaper in Canada, The Gazette.
