Akanksha is a seasoned political campaign and brand strategist, currently leading the communications and marketing department at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.
Before joining the Chamber, Akanksha played a pivotal role in government relations at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, representing over 92% of Canadians. Her extensive experience includes senior positions at Diplomat Consulting and the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations, where she built a reputation for delivering impactful public relations and advocacy initiatives.
An engaged community builder, Akanksha serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Urbanism Canada and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Advisory Committee for OpenSTAX. Born in India, and having lived and worked in Toronto and Ottawa, she now proudly calls Edmonton home, committed to enhancing the city’s narrative and global reputation.
