Cameron is an Executive Search Consultant with Watson Board Advisors, Canada’s largest and most experienced Board advisory firm. He works with a variety of clients to recruit diverse Director and CEO talent to help ‘shape the future’ of organizations.
Prior to joining Watson, Cameron served in the Office of the Prime Minister advising on Governor-in-Council appointments for federal commissions, agencies, tribunals and Crown Corporations as well as judicial and Senate appointments. He led the development and implementation of a new open, transparent and merit-based selection process, which continues to facilitate thousands of quality appointments across government, featuring diverse and dedicated Canadians.
Previously, Cameron held positions spanning both provincial and federal politics, including in the offices of the British Columbia Premier and a Vancouver-area Member of Parliament. His work primarily involved strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. He has also served on the B.C. provincial board for the Liberal Party of Canada and has led multiple campaigns.
The MPM program offered the perfect balance of practical skills development and academic rigor, providing immediate value in my roles on the Hill and throughout my career in both the public and private sectors. Another valuable aspect of the program was the network made available with classmates, Faculty, Fellows, and Alumni—creating a unique, cross-partisan community of colleagues and mentors across the country.
