Elaine works as a Director at Global Public Affairs, she has almost a decade of experience working in public affairs in diverse settings, which has given her the versatility to interpret policy issues, provide communications advice, and build advocacy plans for a range of organizations.
Elaine worked in political and public affairs for the European Union embassy in Ottawa, where she coordinated diplomatic outreach activities to all three levels of government, coordinated relations among local stakeholders, and assisted in the creation of the embassy’s communication strategies. Prior to joining the embassy, Elaine gained experience in political outreach and international relations while working for the European People’s Party in Brussels, where she contributed to writing policy-based publications for the party’s think-tank and initiated the party’s first transatlantic strategy with Canada.
Elaine regularly attracts financial support, endorsements, and media attention for every organization she works with. Elaine has successfully raised organizations’ local, provincial, and national profiles by creating strategic partnerships with influencers working in politics, business, and government.
Elaine holds a Master’s degree in Political Management, and an Honours Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and University of Tampere (Finland). She has also earned Professional Certificate in Policy Analysis.
