Elaine is an internationally recognized public affairs practitioner, offering over 15 years of experience working in distinct advocacy and government relations (GR) settings. She has executed winning campaigns at international, national, provincial and local levels. Within these domains she has advised the GR teams of many public, private, and not-for-profit organizations at various stages in their campaigns. Utilizing tested GR and advocacy approaches, Elaine has supported the achievement of policy change on regulatory, legislative, programmatic and political issues to benefit the public good.

Prior to entering consulting, Elaine worked on political and diplomatic teams to advocate for public interests during the negotiation of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Canada-EU Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA). She also led a national advocacy organization, striking collaborations with leaders in media, politics and business.

Elaine currently serves on the board of directors of the Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC), the national voice for the lobbying profession. Elaine was awarded the Ontario Leading Women Building Communities Award for her intersectional activism empowering young women to pursue leadership roles

A proud alumna of Carleton University’s Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs, Elaine holds a Master of Political Management and a Bachelor of Public Affairs & Policy Management. She also holds certificates in International Policy, Sustainable Business Strategy, and Leading Sustainable Corporations from the University of Oxford.
