Manager, Government Relations, Ontario Retirement Communities Association
Grant Gonzales is a government and stakeholder relations professional, with over seven years of experience. He is the Manager of Government Relations at the Ontario Retirement Communities Association, a voluntary non-profit association representing operators of retirement homes in Ontario.
Grant previously worked in stakeholder relations at Metrolinx and as a government relations consultant at Counsel Public Affairs, one of Canada’s leading public affairs agencies. Grant completed his MPM placement as a government relations intern at Universities Canada.
Grant is a 2021 CivicAction DiverseCity Fellow. Each year, this leadership program brings together over 25 diverse rising leaders who are passionate about shaping their communities, representing all sectors and communities within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
In his community, Grant is active in non-profit board governance, currently serving as President of the Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Health Centre, Co-Chair of Pride Toronto, and Co-Founder of the Filipino Canadian Political Association. He is a former member of the Ontario Liberal Party executive, having served as Vice-President, Engagement, and Toronto Region Vice-President.
