Policy Lead, Child Health Policy Accelerator at SickKids

Degrees:MPM/17

Gwendolyn Moncrieff-Gould is the Policy Lead for Child Health Policy Accelerator at SickKids. Previously, she worked as the Director, Public Policy and Engagement with BGC Canada (formerly the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada), and in a variety of roles with Universities Canada. She has also worked in policy development for the water sector with the MacEachen Institute at Dalhousie University. Originally from Toronto, Gwendolyn also holds a Combined Honours Degree in Political Science and Contemporary Studies from the University of King’s College.

Prior to joining the Riddell program, Gwendolyn had been involved with election campaigns in two provinces, and in politics at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels. In her spare time, Gwendolyn volunteers with the Canadian Advocacy Network, providing free government relations and communications advice to charities and non-profits across Canada.

Years after graduating, my fellow alumni and former professors are still the first people I reach out to when I need information or advice about anything political. The MPM program’s practical and hands-on approach to teaching Canadian politics has given me every tool I need to excel in government relations, as well as an extensive network in Ottawa and across the country.
