Saro is currently Chief of Staff of global technology and cybersecurity leader Cisco Systems within its Country Digitization organization, responsible for making strategic investments through innovative technology pilots and digital skilling initiatives aligned to government digital agendas across the globe.
He is born and raised in Canada but re-located to Dallas (Texas) last year where he currently resides with his family. Saro joined Cisco after a career in politics, serving in various roles in the Canadian Government under Prime Minister Stephen Harper from 2011 to 2015, notably as director of communications to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and as deputy press secretary to both the Minister of Economic Development and the Minister of Immigration. Saro started his tenure at Cisco in 2018 where was Head of Public Relations for Cisco Canada, based out of Toronto, before transitioning into the Global Corporate Communications organization overseeing country digitization and public sector communications.Last Updated: May 19th, 2023
