Wil Robertson is the Senior Advisor, Federal Affairs at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). Based in Ottawa and originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Wil brings extensive experience in government relations, strategic advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining CAPP, Wil was a Consultant in the Government Relations practice at StrategyCorp’s Ottawa office, where he provided qualitative analysis and strategic recommendations to private, public, and not-for-profit sector clients. His background includes significant experience working with municipal governments, local chambers of commerce, not-for-profits, and economic policy experts across Canada.

Wil previously served in the Senate of Canada, supporting Senator Nancy Hartling of New Brunswick. This role provided him with deep insights into federal legislative processes, policy advocacy, and parliamentary dynamics.

A committed volunteer and advocate for social justice and economic policy innovation, Wil has actively engaged with elected representatives and community stakeholders, notably on initiatives related to guaranteed livable income. He has been recognized nationally by Curling Canada for his contributions toward diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Wil holds a Master’s in Political Management from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Great Books and Political Science from St. Thomas University.
