Dear Members of the Carleton Community,
Last year, we began a collaborative process to develop Carleton’s Coordinated Accessibility Strategy. This strategy will serve as a framework to guide Carleton’s commitment to continuous improvement as an accessible campus and help to establish Carleton as a Centre of Excellence in Accessibility. We would like to thank everyone who has provided feedback on the strategy to date.
In accordance with the work plan, the feedback has been carefully reviewed and we have now published a draft version of the Coordinated Accessibility Strategy. As part of our commitment to providing a transparent process, we have published a report outlining the feedback we received throughout the listening phase. Both documents are available on the consultation website.
We encourage all members of the Carleton community to review the draft strategy and provide additional feedback and comments through the website, by email at accessibilitystrategy@carleton.ca or through an in-person feedback session. Feedback is welcome on any aspect of the draft strategy and will continue to be collected until Nov. 15, 2019.
Together, we can continue building on Carleton’s commitment toward a campus that is accessible and inclusive.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Blanchard Vice-President (Students and Enrolment)
Jerry Tomberlin Provost and Vice-President (Academic)
Rafik Goubran Vice-President (Research and International)
Michel Piché Vice-President (Finance and Administration)
