Discovery Sessions
The discovery sessions were conducted with the REP Working Group. The sessions allowed for knowledge transfer including preliminary understanding of the vision of new brand, key strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities and target audiences.
Brand Workshops
The brand workshop is an interactive session with stakeholders from across the Carleton community.
The goals of the brand workshop are to:
- Gather valuable information, knowledge, diverse perspectives from internal stakeholders
- Foster alignment on vision, key brand issues and challenges
- Create shared ownership in both the brand development process and its outcome through participants’ contribution and involvement
Focus Groups
The discussion format facilitates participants building on each others’ ideas, and the moderator is able to probe and guide the discussion in real-time. This portion of the research is designed to:
- Understand brand perceptions and sensitivities
- Gauge alignment of internal and external communication
- Identify opportunities for brand building
Consultations
The consultation session are aimed to share the strategies and process put forward for the Reputation Enhancement Project. The sessions will allow for additional feedback with stakeholders from across the Carleton community.
In-depth Interviews
The research also includes conducting a series of in-depth interviews with key internal stakeholders, government agencies, economic development agency, employers, and other members in the higher education community.
Online Surveys
The November online survey assessed the brand and reputation of the university across both internal and external stakeholders.
The April online survey enabled the community to provide their feedback on both the university and Sprott logos. The results led to the development of full visual identities and a national brand campaign.
