What is a brand and why does it matter?
In the context of the REP, a brand is what we are known for by stakeholders and those we wish to engage (e.g. prospective students, fellow faculty and researchers, donors, etc.) If we are to be successful, our brand must be unique and compelling to these audiences. Consistent, strategic branding (the act of growing our brand) tells our story and leads to strong brand equity (value) which will help the university achieve its strategic objectives.
How can I get more information or stay up to date on the project?
Check out the information on this site, ask your unit representative, or reach out to Tracy White at Tracy.White@Carleton.ca. Information updates on the project will also be sent out to the community.
Will our logo change?
All aspects of the Carleton brand identity will be reviewed as part of the project. This includes fonts, colours, logos and slogans. There will be wide consultation with the Carleton community on all design concepts to ensure they have wide support and clearly articulate what makes us different.
Will we have access to any tools, templates and guidelines when the project is complete?
A wide range of easily accessible, ready-to-use templates will be provided at launch to make use of the brand swift and easy for everyone. Information on these will be communicated on this site and elsewhere.
