I am a MASc student joining the ASRoM Lab in the Winter of 2021 from Purdue University. I received my BASc (2019) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where I focused on astrodynamics and rocket propulsion systems. I have worked on projects involving amateur rocketry, CubeSats and building experimental aircraft, where most of my involvement had been developing electronic systems for instrumentation and controls. I am also a US-licensed Radio-Operator (for satellite communications) and an Instrument-Rated Private Pilot; a general aerospace fanatic always happy to talk about anything relevant to air and space.

With the ASRoM Lab, I will research state of the art soft robotics technologies designed for space application. My goal is to unify modern advancements in material science and robotics to implement reliable and effective hyper-flexible manipulators. My research will focus on the use of Geometric Continuum Mechanics (GCM) to observe and control hyper-flexible continuum manipulators. This can be decomposed into two distinct phases: theoretical modeling & control of soft manipulators, experimental validation of theorized models.
