MASc Student (2020- )

Degrees:BASc (Sharif University of Technology)
Email:SanazSamsam@cmail.carleton.ca

Sanaz received her BASc (2018) from Sharif University of Technology, where she focused on programming, system dynamics, space technology, and application of optimization methods in various fields. Her undergraduate thesis was titled “Profile Optimization of Rotary Discs Using FEM Methods”.
She then researched on “Formation Flying of Satellites” with an application on space debris removal, and extracted an appropriate polynomial to estimate variation in length over the deployment trajectory of a flexible tethered satellite using a heuristic optimization method.
She joined the ASRoM-Lab in 2020 as a graduate student with turning her focus to space robotics and on-orbit servicing missions. Her research is on proposing a mission architecture for servicing multiple orbital objects in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) regime founded upon placing many servicers in a parking orbit.
