For her M.Sc. research Naomi studied the paleolimnology of a subarctic lake near Yellowknife, NT. Her research focused on:
- Reconstructing paleoclimate, lake productivity, and contaminant concentrations using freeze core proxies (geochemical and sedimentological);
- Improving freeze core analysis with Itrax XRF-CS by testing a prototype cooled containment vessel and improving upon current calibration protocol.
