I am glad to say that this year will be the first time whereby the Faculty of Engineering & Design will be participating in the Pride Parade as its own contingent. I invite you all, as well as your family and friends, to come out and march with your Carleton colleagues. This year the parade will take place on August 27th from 1pm to 4pm.
Having myself participated in multiple pride parades, I promise you that it will be a great time. Your presence at these types of events signal your support and allyship to those of us who may not feel comfortable in being their true authentic self on a daily basis.
