Two important new areas of research will be presented:
1. 12 pm to 12:30 pm EDT: Professor Margie Mendell and Erica Barbosa E. will present their work on: “Impact Investing: a preliminary analysis of emergent primary and secondary exchange platforms” recently published in the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment.
2. 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm EDT Professor Ben Richardson, will present his work on “Fiduciary Responsibility in Retail Funds: Clarifying the Prospects for SRI” also recently published in the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment.
Professor Margie Mendell of Concordia University is a leading researcher in the social economy with a particular focus on solidarity finance and will present her work with Erica Barbosa on the development of secondary markets in impact investing. She leads one of the research streams of the Responsible Investing Initiative.
Professor Ben Richardson, Canada Research Chair in Environmental Law and Sustainability, UBC Law School is a global expert on the fiduciary aspects of responsible investing. He also leads one of the research streams of the Responsible Investing Initiative.
