2022 CAAS Conference

The Canadian Association of African Study (CAAS) will hold its 2022 conference as part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences from May 16-19, 2022. The conference format is completely virtual. Registration to CAAS conference will be done through the Congress 2022 portal. Keynote Speakers for this year’s conference are : Léonora Miano and Awalou Ouedraogo.

CAAS Conference fees are paid at the same time in addition to Congress fees and are the following:
CAAS CONFERENCE FEES
Regular registration rate (as of April 1)
- Member $90
- Unwaged: $90
- Retired, Student, Black & Indigenous $50
CONGRESS FEES
Regular registration rate (as of April 1)
- Regular attendee: $185
- Student, retired, or unwaged attendee $80
- Community pass: $55
Note that you need to be a member of CAAS and in good standing to participate in the 2022 CAAS Conference. “Good standing” means a participant’s CAAS annual membership fees is up to date.
