MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN UGANDA

 

The Institute of African Studies Students Association & The Institute of African Studies Welcomes:

 

Guest Speaker, Navin Parekh of The Canugan Disability Support Project

October 4th, 2011 from 7:30-8:30 P.M.

Southam Hall Room 417 (Carleton University)

 

The Canugan Disability Support Project was launched with the initiative of providing support for those with disabilities living in the Kasese District of Uganda. The project has raised close to $ 15,000 to provide tricycles, hearing aids, white canes and vocational training. Navin will be discussing the project, his own efforts during his time in Uganda, as well as how individuals can get involved and help make a difference.
