Jim Burant, the former Manager of the Art and Photography Archives at Library and Archives Canada, and currently an adjunct professor in Carleton’s School for Studies in Art and Culture, will be giving a FASS special guest lecture entitled “The War of 1812 in pictures: winning and losing in visual imagery.”  The talk will be on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Arts Faculty Lounge, 2017 Dunton Tower.

The event is co-sponsored by the Office of the Dean of FASS, the School for Studies in Art and Culture, the Department of History, and the FASS Research Centre for American Studies.
