Indigenous data refers to any form of information, knowledge, and belongings that are from, about, or for Indigenous Peoples at the individual and collective levels. Indigenous data includes student data, land-use, language-use, community MOUs, culture, governance, and resource management. Within the realm of research, seeking to conduct research with Indigenous peoples and communities means that the research partners are entering into a relationship. Prioritizing relationality in Indigenous research enables the researcher to be more accountable to the community.
