Welcome to the Ānako Research Submission Portal. Here, we are committed to showcasing and connecting Indigenous research projects led by faculty, staff, and students with the wider community. Our mission is to foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment that honours Indigenous ways of knowing and Two-Eyed Seeing practices. We value the diversity of Indigenous methodologies and aim to create a space where traditional and contemporary insights converge, enriching our collective understanding and promoting respectful, reciprocal, and relational connections.

Submit your Research Project

We hope Indigenous researchers view this portal as a welcoming space to genuinely share their projects and academic work. Here, you can connect with others, showcase your research, and contribute to a growing body of knowledge that respects and integrates Indigenous methodologies and ways of knowing. We may ask you:

How you have you engaged with Indigenous communities throughout your research process?
Describe the methods and practices you’ve used to ensure meaningful and respectful collaboration.

In what way does the research reflect or incorporate Indigenous ways of knowing and perspectives?
Illustrate how traditional knowledge, cultural practices, or Indigenous methodologies are woven into your work.

How your research contributes to the well-being, empowerment, or development of Indigenous communities?
Explain the tangible benefits or positive changes your research aims to bring to the communities involved.
