Shovon Halder

PhD Student

I am Shovon Halder, and I have recently been admitted to the Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering, specializing in Pavement Engineering, at Carleton University. I will begin my studies in Fall 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Kamal Hossain. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Bangladesh, where I have been teaching and conducting research for over a decade. I earned my M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from CUET, specializing in Transportation Engineering, with a thesis titled “Performance of Pervious Asphalt Pavement Using Waste Polyethylene Modified Binder.” My long-term research goal is to advance sustainable, climate-resilient pavement engineering and develop transportation networks capable of withstanding extreme weather.
