Canada-Europe Transatlantic Dialogue (CETD) is a network of experts from Canada and Europe that cooperate to facilitate research projects and the dissemination of research findings to practitioners, non-governmental organizations, and the interested public with a goal of encouraging shared learning through comparison of European and Canadian experience in addressing common policy problems. CETD also aims to promote a better understanding of the Canada-EU relationship. Our work is organized around  five thematic research groups (TRGs).

The European Launch of the project in Berlin on June 2-3, 2009 highlighted current research projects and findings of scholars participating in the network and familiarized the interested public with the nature of this new research initiative. The Environmental Policy Research Center at the Free University of Berlin (Prof. Miranda Schreurs, Director) was our partner in organizing the workshop. We are grateful to the Canadian Embassy in Germany for hosting this event. This project is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) under it Strategic Knowledge Clusters program, and receives support from participating universities and partner organizations.
