The Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations is pleased to host a research seminar “EU Trade Policy: Politicization at the limits of Trade Policy Theory” presented by Scott Hamilton with commentary offered by Dirk De Bièvre from the University of Antwerp.
The politicization of trans-Atlantic trade represents a theoretical challenge to standard policy frameworks. This presentation will confront the traditional sources of trade policy with globalization backlash, authority transfer, emotive framing and identity politics.
Please note: this seminar is intended for graduate students and faculty
This event is an activity of the Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations, supported by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union, by Carleton University, and by Jean Monnet Network partner universities.
