The World Health Organization has recently released a new document, Measuring the Climate Resilience of Health Systems.

The document provides a framework and candidate indicators for measuring progress towards protecting individuals and health systems from climate change impacts.  Many health authorities within and outside of Canada have undertaken climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessments and started taking adaptation actions and are seeking information to gauge whether they are making progress in protecting health. This document was developed to provide some information on this. The report may also be helpful for scoping out the next national climate change and health assessment to follow the recently released report Health of Canadians in a Changing Climate: Advancing our Knowledge for Action.
