News broke recently that hundreds and hundreds of trees have been clear cut from Tewin lands. This is unacceptable. Our ecosystem is too valuable. Ecology Ottawa has a petition and letter that you can send to Mayor Sutcliffe and the chairs of the Environment and Climate Change and the Planning and Housing committees. Ecology Ottawa is calling for 1) an investigation into the clear-cutting, 2) accountability for those responsible, and 3) commitments from the City of Ottawa to enforce the Tree Protection Bylaw.
