Carleton University is hosting Canadian Centre for Climate Services and ClimateData.ca with Casey Clunas, Policy Analyst, Canadian Centre for Climate Service, Environment and Climate Change Canada on October 30 from 10-11:30am (Loeb A200 Computer Lab) on Finding and Accessing Canadian Climate Data.
Abstract: “This presentation will introduce the Canadian Centre for Climate Services (CCCS), a division of Environment and Climate Change Canada that was established to provide Canadians with information and support to consider climate change in their decisions. We will focus in part on ClimateData.ca, a user-friendly online climate data source and a flagship product of the CCCS, which has brought together the expertise of national and regional climate service providers. The presentation will provide an overview of the data, tools, information and services necessary to help understand, plan for the impacts of, and adapt to, climate change. Students will have a chance to follow along during the demonstration looking at locations and variables of their own interest.”
