On Nov 2, 2023 12:00 PM (Zoom) Re.Climate is hosting an event called “Global Burning: National Media Coverage of Climate Change and Wildfires in Canada” which discusses how National media has a great influence over policymakers and the general public, significantly shaping discussions and perceptions around climate change and what we can do about it. Join us for our webinar as we share our latest research report, titled “Climate Change and Wildfires in Canada’s National Media, 2023.”

During this webinar, the lead researchers, Chris Hatch and Ghadah Alrasheed, will guide you through the research and present the main insights they have pulled from their research .Joining them will be Cara Pike, Chris Russill, Trish Audette-Longo , who will steer the discussion towards the golden question of “what’s next” and what steps and actions media and climate communicators can take to advance their coverage and enhance their responses to wildfires and other extreme events.

Given the significance of this event and Climate Commons desire to support Re.Climate and the climate action community’s growth, Climate Commons have decided not to host our usual Noons for Now this week. We believe that attending Re.Climate’s event will be a valuable and enriching experience– that we too want to be a part of!
