The Group of 78’s conference Citizens Confront Climate Crisis will be held on September 27 and 28 at Cartier Place Suite Hotel and focus on citizen-led climate action.  The conference will feature a powerful lineup of citizen movements and climate experts. From the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty to EcoJustice youth litigators, attendees will gain insight into some of the most effective advocacy campaigns happening now in Canada and around the world.

On Friday afternoon, broadcaster Adrian Harewood will moderate, Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Initiative campaigner Tzeporah Berman will give the keynote address, and the Green Party’s Elizabeth May will join us. On Saturday afternoon, Cat Abreu will give the keynote and speakers from Seniors for Climate Action, Ecojustice, Nature Canada, UNITAR, Environmental Defense, CAPE, and CAFES Ottawa will share strategies that are working to hold government and business accountable.
