“This event, organized by the MHCCA Youth Advisory Board in collaboration with the Climate Justice Organizing HUB, is part of the HUB’s microgrants program. The aim is to bring people together from across so-called Canada in an online climate café to share different perspectives and realities on extreme weather events. We strive to create a brave space where individuals can comfortably process and navigate the complex emotional responses triggered by witnessing or experiencing extreme weather events.
The Climate Justice Organizing HUB’s microgrants program is designed to foster mutual aid projects and grassroots actions that support community-led responses to extreme weather events. Through this initiative, grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 are provided to unregistered organizations, non-profits, Indigenous groups, and individuals.”
