What roles do trust and community fairness play in the acceptance of wind energy projects?
Join Dr. Louise Comeau, Director of Climate Solutions at the Conservation Council of New Brunswick, to unpack the results of a year-long case study of the factors influencing social and community acceptance of renewable energy. This research features interviews with residents of Anse-Bleue and Pokeshaw, N.B., where two wind projects were approved under N.B. Power’s Locally Owned Renewable Energy Projects that are Small Scale (LORESS) Program but which did not proceed due to public opposition.
Communicators will get recommendations on how to increase the chances of success for renewable energy projects.
