Abstract
AI has increasingly become a strategic focus for many businesses. However, AI driven digital solutions will likely fail to deliver on anticipated value unless the benefits of AI are focused on solving real user needs that improve their overall user experience. In this mini-course, we’ll cover user experience best practices for designing AI driven digital products and services.
Biography
Khalil Laghari, Ph.D., is a user experience (UX) leader with 12+ years of experience in UX strategy, research, design, and practice development. Currently, he is a Team Lead of user experience at Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI); he was responsible for starting up the UX practice at CIHI. Prior to this he was working as a Senior UX Advisor with Alberta Health Services on the Personal Health Record (PHR) and healthcare website projects.
He received his PhD in HCI from UPMC Paris 6 University and TMSP France in 2012 and a Postdoctoral fellowship from Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Montreal, Canada in 2014. His research work was focused on developing user experience practices for multimedia, web, and intelligent interfaces. He used qualitative and quantitative methods including neurophysiological tools and machine learning methods for product quality assessment.
He speaks at and attends international UX conferences and events, sharing his passion for UX led innovation in the healthcare sector
