Keith Acheson is a professor in the Economics Department at Carleton University. His research interests include the economics of organization; cultural economics, broadcast and film analysis and policy; economics of the distributive trades; and economic regulation. His recent publications include, “No Bite, No Bark: The mystery of magazine policy” American Review of Canadian Studies, Autumn 2001 (with C. J.
