Tips and tricks for submitting a successful proposal
-
-
Consult your department head/supervisor: Discuss time commitment, gather course ideas, and learn about available resources (materials, funding, connections).
-
Create a strong course title: Make it captivating, relevant, and appealing to Grades 8-11; the title is what drives student interest.
-
Consider teaching support: Partner with a co-instructor or invite guest lecturers.
-
Provide a backup instructor: Back-up instructors are required, your course won’t be selected without one.
-
Use undergraduate volunteers: They can assist in various ways and earn Co-Curricular Record (CCR) credit.
-
Plan your classroom needs: Instructors are responsible for booking department-specific rooms; MCP assigns general rooms, with computer labs given on a first-come basis.
