Members of Carleton’s Department of English Language and Literature extend their heartfelt congratulations to Manahil Bandukwala for having been awarded one of the highly competitive FASS Summer Research Internship awards. Manahil is an English major in her final year of study and will be spending her summer working on a project titled “(Be)longing in the Digital Age: Diaspora Poetry and the Imaginary Homeland.” The project studies the poetry of South Asian women in the diaspora as it circulates on digital platforms and it will be supervised by Professor Mayurika Chakravorty.
