Congratulations to Prof. Melissa Pullara (PhD 2019)!
Prof. Pullara was appointed Assistant Professor at Mount Royal University (Calgary), on July 1, 2023. Prof. Pullara specializes in early modern drama. Her doctoral thesis analyzed how the psychological effects of human encounters with the supernatural in a variety of early modern plays (including those by George Chapman, John Marston, Thomas Middleton, and William Shakespeare) implicitly manifest socio-political critiques of 16th and 17th century English gender and power systems.
