Come out to a new Carleton writer’s circle on writing weird fiction. Find common inspiration, share work and knowledge, give, and receive feedback, and hone your craft. Weird fiction includes a wide array of authors from Edgar Alan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft to Neil Gaiman, Caitlín Kiernan, and Jeff Vandermeer—to name only a few in this thriving contemporary area, which spans horror, science fiction, and speculative fiction. Inspiring the circle are authors such as these whose works of absurdity, grotesqueness, and uncanniness haunt the imagination.

All writers, with or without experience working with the weird, are welcome.
