Imagine the Future Series (develop your job skills!)

Early and full session summer courses begin on Thursday, May 6.

• How to access your courses
  • CuLearn is being replaced by Brightspace starting on Thursday.
  • Visit this site for an intro to Brightspace.
  • If your summer courses don’t appear in Brightspace yet, that probably means the professor hasn’t made the page visible yet. By the day the course is set to start, the page should appear.
• Register for courses
  • It is not to late register if you are interested in taking a summer course.
  • See our registration page for more information.
• Dates and deadlines
  • Adding or changing a course:
    • Early summer courses (May-June): May 13
    • Full session courses (May-August): May 20
    • Late summer courses (July-Aug):  July 9
  • Dropping a course:
    • Early and full summer courses: May 21 to be eligible for a refund.
      • Between May 21-June 18 you can still drop an early summer class, but won’t receive a refund.
    • Late summer courses (July-Aug): July 23 to be eligible for a refund.
      • Between July 24-August 16 you can still drop a full session or late summer class, but won’t receive a refund.
  • Paying fees:
    • April 25 to avoid a late payment charge
    • May 13: if you’re receiving OSAP and met the deferral conditions (i.e. had your entitlement by April 25)
• Apply for a bursary
  • In need of financial assistance? Apply for a bursary/grant (these are not loans; you do not have to repay a bursary).
  • The application opens May 6 in Carleton Central and the deadline to apply is July 9th.
  • Here are instructions on how to apply (simply select Summer 2021 instead of Fall/Winter).

Get support with your summer courses:

Summer courses are condensed and move quickly. It is a good idea to plan out your term, review writing assignments and start early. A coach is available to help you plan your term and succeed in your summer classes.
