Biography

Jon holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from Carleton University. He completed his MA in Philosophy at Carleton University in 2012, and his B.Phil in Philosophy at the University in Oxford at 2014. After completing his graduate studies, he worked at a number of nonprofits focused on building communities to do good, including Giving What We Can, the Centre for Effective Altruism and the Global Priorities Institute. His current doctoral research is focused on developing a framework to help governments more effectively pursue ethical development programs. Since October 2020 he has been working as the Community Director for Generation Pledge, a growing community of ultra-high-net-wealth inheritors committed to using their resources to do the most good.
