The Hu’s FACT lab works at the interface of food science, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, and informatic technologies to advance analytical methods for the sensitive, reliable, comprehensive, high-throughput, sustainable and/or user-friendly characterization of targets relevant to the integrity of agri-food products and safety of the environments of the agri-food systems. Specifically, there are three major research themes in the FACT lab (click on each of them for more details).
- Develop Point-of-need Sensors for Protecting Food Safety and Quality from Farm to Fork
- Develop Green Analytical Methods for Food Authentication
- Decipher the Environmental Contaminants in the Agri-Food Systems
Positions for graduate students, undergradaute students and visiting scholars are available for all the three resesarch themes. For detailed information please refer to the “Positions Available” page.
