Arlette Martinez is a sociocultural anthropologist and P.h.D student at Carleton University. Her research mainly looks at the impact of culinary tourism in Oaxaca Mexico, on both the community and their traditional foodways. More broadly, she is particularly interested in depictions of heritage and authenticity on destination branding and social media.
