Doctoral student Colin Cordner has been awarded a Graduate Research and Innovative Thinking (GRIT) Award by the Carleton Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs. He is one of six Carleton University students who received the honour, which is given to outstanding Carleton PhD students at the ABD stage of their research (all comprehensive exams have been completed and the dissertation proposal has been successfully defended).

The award offers up to $5,000 to support excellence and involvement in academic research activities.
