The first week of the FPA Research Series in early October was a resounding success, with 250 attendees, interdisciplinary presentations, and many engaging discussions.

The new series features special events, conferences, lectures, panel discussions and workshops throughout the academic year that celebrate the diversity of research produced in the Faculty of Public Affairs. It was inspired by the success of FPA Research Month, which ran from 2013 – 2019 during the winter term.

One of the highlights of the first week of the series was the Informing Migration Policy: International Experience and Evidence Conference on October 3rd and 4th, which highlighted Carleton University’s strong network of migration researchers. Many are members of the newly formed Migration Policy Research Group. Read a story on the new developments in this area of study.

The next events in the series will be the Undergraduate Research Internship Showcase on October 16th and The Changing Worlds of Work and Labour conference on November 8th.
