This year’s participants in the Carleton University Research Opportunity (CUROP) program are an impressive bunch. This summer, they studied social clauses in trade agreements, occupational stress among prison officers, artistic and political resistance, free transit campaigns, and much more.

CUROP is a summer research internship which enables students to collaborate with a faculty member on a research project of their choice. It’s a competitive program. Only ten of the many students who applied this year were granted the internship
