NPSIA Professor Studies Artificial Intelligence and Defence

According to Alex Wilner, Assistant Professor in the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, there is a lot of debate about the use and misuse of artificial intelligence in warfare. With the assistance of a grant from the Department of National Defence’s Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program, his research is focusing on how AI might be applied in deterrence.
