Catalina Hernandez, Legal Studies
The Master of Arts in Legal Studies program under the Faculty of Public Affairs has significantly impacted my personal learning and both my academic and professional development.
Given that this program is interdisciplinary, I was able to successfully transition into it from my BA in Psychology, while receiving great support and insight from some amazing professors throughout my coursework and thesis. Looking back, this program has contributed greatly to my knowledge on race in the legal system and racial theory, while also exposing me to new research methods which I was able to apply in my thesis.
I am very grateful for my supervisor and the professors in the program who helped and supported me along the way and am honoured to be receiving the Senate Medal.
