Before Frohan became president of the Carleton Undergraduate Economics Society, an assistant for Carleton’s Language Resource Room, and an FPA Ambassador, Frohan was an international student from Iran, trying to improve her English skills. That experience was so fundamental to Frohan’s success, that she invited Peggy Hartwick, her English teacher—along with Mike Barker, her supervisor at the Language Resource Room—to the Dean’s Honour List reception.

“So many people at Carleton have helped me along the way, including Peggy, Mike, Economics Professor Simon Power, as well as my husband and my family,” said Frohan.

Among the highlights of her academic career has been the IPAF 4900 course, which offers undergraduates the opportunity to work one-on-one with a faculty member. Frohan is researching effective teaching methods with Professor Simon Power and she’ll be discussing their work at the Undergraduate Showcase on March 23rd as part of FPA Research Month.
