CLCV 3400A will be a concentrated study course in which students will be expected to participate in some preliminary lectures before departure and 21 days of travel in Turkey and Greece. Course content will concentrate on ancient Greek and Roman archaeology, history, art and religion, including early Christianity.
There will be required sessions at archaeological sites and museums each morning and most afternoons. These will include lectures by faculty, and time to explore sites and ask questions. There are also optional activities such as more strenuous hikes and visits to additional places of interest.
